This page explains how Ex Kitchens handles account, order, and payment-related information.

Who we are

Ex Kitchens is a trading name of ICON KITCHEN DESIGNS LTD, registered in England and Wales with company number 12082766 and VAT number GB350707906. Our registered office is 116 Brighton Road, Purley, England, CR8 4DB.

Information we collect

We collect account details such as name, email address, phone number, watchlist entries, notifications, order history, and any information you send when you contact us about listings, delivery, dismantling, installation, or buy-now availability. This includes anonymous listing enquiries submitted without an account.

Why we use it

We use this information to manage checkout, process payments, respond to listing enquiries, communicate updates, prevent abuse, comply with legal and tax obligations, and maintain an audit trail for marketplace activity.

Payments and service providers

We use service providers to run the marketplace, including website hosting, authentication, database, email, analytics, and payment processing providers. Payment details required for checkout may be processed by Stripe or other payment partners rather than stored directly by us. We use PostHog's EU service for product and web analytics.

Analytics and public-page replay

PostHog helps us understand anonymous visitor numbers, marketplace journeys, listing engagement, errors, and page performance. If you accept analytics, PostHog may use analytics storage and create privacy-masked replays on public home, marketplace, and listing pages. Inputs are masked, the enquiry form is excluded, and account, authentication, admin, and checkout pages are never recorded. We do not send PostHog your name, email, phone number, enquiry text, payment details, or unrestricted page URLs.

Analytics choices

Before you choose, no analytics events are sent. If you reject analytics, no replay is recorded and PostHog uses cookieless, privacy-preserving anonymous audience measurement. If you accept, anonymous activity may be linked to your account using only your internal user identifier after sign-in. You can reopen Analytics preferences in the footer at any time; withdrawing consent stops replay and resets the analytics identity.

Who can see it

Public pages show listing information. Admins can review user, listing, order, and enquiry records for operational and fraud-prevention purposes. Buyers and sellers can see their own orders and related notifications.

Retention

Account, order, and enquiry records may be retained for operational, tax, fraud-prevention, lead-management, and dispute-resolution needs after a listing has ended.

Your controls

You can sign in to review your saved listings, notifications, and order activity. For correction, access, or deletion requests, contact us using the email address attached to your account.
